Over the past few months I’ve been building my very first app – FPV Guidebook. Born from the printed book and ebook series, it brings all editions into a single mobile experience for iOS and Android. No tariffs. No shipping fees. Available worldwide.

The app ships with over 240 products at launch, an Ask AI feature, and a Manufacturer Portal that lets FPV companies upload and manage their own specs, diagrams and notes directly – growing the database exponentially. Whether in the field, classroom, or at the workbench, this will be your go-to FPV reference.

Why should I pay for this app?
Founding backers get immediate access before the public App Store launch, plus a lifetime subscription at the crowdfund price, never offered again after launch, and a direct line to suggest improvements before the app goes public. Annual subscribers also receive 20% off the standard yearly rate. Guest users will have access from the public launch date. Once available, they can browse the full product catalog, use the tools, tutorials, glossary, and frequency chart at no cost. A subscription unlocks the features that make the app yours: AI-powered product Q&A, PNG exports, saved products and search history, offline access, and the ability to customize and add flying spots. Your support directly funds ongoing platform development.
What content is in the app?
The app covers FPV components including motors, ESCs, flight controllers, VTX, cameras and includes build guides, soldering tips and more. Each product includes illustrated references, key specs, and compatibility notes.
What does the AI agent do?
The AI agent lets you ask questions about any FPV component directly within the app. Ask about compatibility, specs, wiring, or setup and get answers drawn from the FPV Guidebook content and the broader FPV community knowledge base.
What’s the difference between yearly and lifetime access?
Yearly access renews annually. Lifetime access is a one-time payment that covers all future updates and content, and is only available during this pre-launch period. It will never be offered again after launch.
Is this like a crowdfund – do I have to wait to receive the app?
No. The app exists now in beta. Your pledge gets you immediate access. There’s no funding goal to hit and no waiting.
When do I get access?
Within 24-48 hours of your pledge. You’ll receive an email with TestFlight or Play Store beta instructions.
Can I use the app on multiple devices?
Yes. Your account works across all your iOS and Android devices. Simply log in with your account credentials. A Restore Purchases button will also be available at public launch to relink your subscription if needed.
How does the beta app relate to the official App Store version?
Backers receive access to the iOS TestFlight and Google Play beta app. Create your account on the beta version. When the app officially launches on the App Stores, delete the beta app and download the official version directly from App Store or Google Play. Your account carries over, just log in as normal. If you run into any login issues, contact us and we’ll help restore your account.
What happens when the app officially launches?
You’ll receive a personal promo code by email. Enter it in the app to activate your founding backer account, no new payment needed.
What is the founding backer badge?
A permanent in-app badge on your profile that marks you as one of the original supporters, yours forever, regardless of plan.
Will my name really appear in the app?
Yes, all founding backers will be listed by name on the app’s About page, permanently. Your display name will be used, and you can update it any time in your profile settings.
Why only 100 spots per platform?
Beta distribution limits and ensuring quality support for early testers. Once spots are gone, they’re gone.
What platforms does the app support?

Will my content be updated after I purchase?
Yes. New products and content updates are added regularly. All access tiers receive updates at no extra cost.
